Slow Down. Unless You Have An Appointment With God.

The title for this post comes from a street sign that Jeff Weaver and I saw in Chennai, when we were there for the RA Meet in July. In addition to being totally absurd, it's appropriate for this post, since (as you've probably noticed) I just learned how to post photos from Picasa in a slideshow within a post (and a bunch of other things, like personalized backgrounds!), so I'm sharing a bunch of photos from Chennai that I didn't know how to share earlier (and a bunch of other photos as well, including of our apartment!).

On a related note, if you're among the current crop of friends who's maintaining a blog as a running narrative on their travels/life, and you don't know how to do this stuff, just email me and I'll share my (extremely limited, newly acquired) expertise - it's really easy. Also, the new blog background is the view of the sunset out of our living room window. Very pretty. If the colors bother you or you have any other feedback about formatting/design stuff, please let us know!

So, I have a whole pile of photos that I wanted to post before, and so I'm going to ignore the instructions of this title and just post them all (apologies for the photo explosion).

Here are the photos from Chennai:

And here are photos of our apartment, before we moved in:

Our apartment, all moved in!

Miscellaneous other photos that don't fit into a tidy category:

  2. So happy to be able to see where you're living! Also, that picture you took of the front of the rickshaw is amazing; please tell me you noticed that you framed the driver's eyes perfectly. It's cool and creepy, I liked it.

  3. Your kitchen is amazing by American apartment standards. I think you and your mom are secretly superheroes. Seriously though it looks like a wonderful place to live and I am super happy for you!
